Cody, our sweet visitor, has had a small growth on his back foot for a few weeks now. When we took him in to the vet it was severely infected; after two weeks of antibiotics the swelling had only subsided minimally and there was still infection.
So he went in for a biopsy, in which they took a small wedge of infected tissue and healthy tissue to send to the lab.
Our vet is thinking that it is a mass cell tumor that has gone sour, and hopefully not with cancer. We will hear back from the lab within 5 days, we would appreciate any prayers that can be spared on his behalf. We are hoping that it is not cancerous, and that the biopsy will shed some light on how we can help his foot heel.
He is such a sweet, happy boy and we have been very blessed to have him stay with us. He is so funny with his buster cone on, and he has provided us with several laughs. Schoggi will often sit right in front of him with her head inside his cone and just stare at him, it is very funny.
